TICKET SALES ARE NOW CLOSED!
Join us on July 13 for a fun afternoon! We will again set up our tents with food, Ukraine-specific products and information. Tickets are now on sale. All money collected from our ticket sales goes directly to Ukraine Relief Project - Aquidneck! Match begins at 5:00 and gates open at 3:00. Look for the blue and yellow flags at our tents and join us on the lawn. Bring your own chairs or blanket, picnic and drinks. We will have light snacks available.
Tickets can be purchased online by clicking the blue button below or from any of our members. If you purchase online, you can choose to receive tickets in the mail or electronic tickets to print yourself. TICKETS MUST BE PRINTED. ONLY PAPER TICKETS CAN BE ACCEPTED AT THE GATE. Funds raised this year will be donated to Voices of Children, the largest Ukrainian Foundation providing comprehensive psychological support to children living through war.
Sunflower Family Festival Saturday, Aug. 23, 11 - 2
A celebration of the people and culture of Ukraine to be held at
Lawn School, Jamestown (Watson Ave. Field)
No admission charge.
The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and represents peace. The festival will be held this year a day before Ukrainian Independence Day.
Please stop by our table to say hello!
Highlights of the festival will include:
- Live music by Olya Fryz and the South County Rounder
- Polish/Ukrainian food:
- pierogi
- golabki (stuffed cabbage)
- kielbasa
- pampushky
- Silent Auction and raffle
- Ukrainian village dances
- Games, contests
- Art and craft activities
- Face painting
- Displays of Ukrainian embroidery,
traditional Easter eggs and foods
Screening of Pivden '23 with commentary by director Dennis Lynch
We anticipate this film screening will be held at the Middletown Library in mid-September and will be free of charge and open to the public.

Along with the Jamestown Ukraine Relief Project, we provided funds to renovate a building in Lviv to function as an art studio for children, including use for art therapy.

In December 2024, we donated $1,100 for coats, boots and winter clothes for children whose homes had been bombed. The Common Man for Ukraine, a New Hampshire non-profit organization working with a Rotary group in Poland to make deliveries to Ukraine. They purchased clothes to deliver to Odessa. This video expresses their thanks.

In the summer of 2024, we sent $5,000 to help the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Kyiv which was damaged in a July bombing. The money was used to provide care for infants who had been in the hospital.

SunLight Ukraine ships simple, solar-powered lanterns to families in Ukraine. As relentless bombing of energy infrastructure has left millions of families without heat or light in their homes, these inflatable lanterns will provide some relief. They can stay on all night with a solar recharge and have a plug for charging a cellphone. This lantern will bring families the life-changing gifts of light and human connection. Children can read and do homework, families can see each other around a dinner table, parents can read to their children at bedtime, and even provide them a night light as they sleep.
